What are the things that you usually put on your table or cabinet as a design? Do you consider putting on an aquarium with hamsters or fishes? Or are you interested in objects such as figurines or statues on your desktop? How about a plant or flowers in a vase? Would you give an effort to take care of plants inside your house or office?

Some of the animals placed on desks are fishes in a aquarium or mice. But instead of having these pets on your desk, you can have a plant on your desk. There are many types of plants you can put on a desk but one of the most beautiful and probably most magically looking plant you can place on your desk is an indoor bonsai plant.

Bonsai plants are miniature trees. They are small enough to be placed indoors. However, just like other trees they have to be exposed to natural environment similar to the forest. Bonsai plants are abundant in Japan and are treated as an art. There has been a number of bonsai growing contest in many places around the world. Bonsai plants exhibits is the most beautiful and the most attended exhibit.

Most bonsai plants or small scale trees are just like the ordinary large scale trees. They badly need sunlight, rain and warmth. Most bonsai plants grow more abundantly under exposure of these three basic needs.

Bonsai plants are not just grown for the sake of giving people amazement. Other than entertainment, it gives people their basic needs as well. Just like plants, bonsai plants absorbs heavy odourless colourless gas inside our home and then gives off ample supply of oxygen making our homes a better place to live in. Bonsai plants also produces mini fruits which you can eat. They serve as food as well that could be added as an additive for your meal.

A good source of light from the sun is one of the basic necessities of bonsai plant. In a rainforest, sunlight is always used as a source of warmth and helps in the process of photosynthesis for the leaves. Having proper sunlight will keep the leaves of the bonsai plant healthy. You may place the bonsai plant outside your window for a time to catch sunlight.

The roots of the trees need water to absorb minerals from the soil. It is advisable to avoid getting the soil in the bonsai plant’s pot dry. The soil has to be moisten to give the bonsai plant’s roots to move freely in a well cultivated soil. The leaves and branches should be watered to clean off dusts on the leaves that may block the air from coming in and out of the leaf.

Indoor bonsai plant just like any other plant may need fertilizer to add additional supplement for your indoor bonsai plant.
